Of course, one of the biggest draws to Buckinghamshire is its close proximity to London and all the benefits that brings with it. Luckily, Buckinghamshire is well-connected with most towns being within easy access of London. By road the M25 and M40 offer quick and easy access both into and out of London as well as the rest of the country. The train services are also excellent, with some towns such as Gerrards Cross and High Wycombe even having express trains that can get you into London Marylebone in under an hour.
Lush Suburbs, High Prices
Buckinghamshire is a very affluent county and includes the top 3 richest towns in the country according to the Daily Telegraph. Many towns in Bucks are small, residential communities with plenty of green belt. Most towns have populations between 10,000-20,000 and feature smaller, more traditional 1-2 story buildings. There are comparatively few larger apartment-style buildings or office blocks. Land is therefore at a premium and there are few opportunities for brand new development. Most development consists of refurbishing existing structures or knocking them down and building back up on the same land.
